So, todays devotional messages asks: Is your heart loyal to God? That may seem like a simple yes or no answer, but really… think about it? If your heart is truly loyal to God you don't have to constantly search for him, because you know He is always there. He is looking for you!
Loyalty is defined as, giving and showing firm and constant support or allegience to a person or instituion.
It's a lot easier to be loyal in a worldly sense. I am a loyal friend. I constantly pay my cellphone bill on time; heaven forbid I can't text my bestie! I show up for the work bowling league every Friday night even if death is knocking on my door! So, why is it so difficult to give that same loyalty to God. God was loyal to us, before we were even born. He gave his own life for ours, so that we could spend an eternity in paradise.
What is holding us back? What are we afraid of? What are ways we can express our loyalty to Jesus?
I highly recommend thinking these questions over a bit, I certainly know I will be.
