Pleasing God, Pleasing Others
11 Aug 13 devotional from, Experiencing God
Today’s devotional talks about the importance of pleasing
God over pleasing humanity.
While good human relationships are important a personal
relationship with Christ is most important.
It is not easy in today’s society to give your full attention to Jesus
but we have to try our hardest to do so. You have to make the choice as a Christian, whether you want to follow the ways of the world or follow the ways of the Father. Choose wisely the group of people you want to hang out with and the activities in which you partake. You may feel like God is a buzzkill and that he doesn't want you to have any fun, or that you have to follow a strict set of rules, but that is so not the case. Once you really develop a relationship with Christ you start to realize that the actions you took beforehand really aren't where you want to be and you will WANT to change.
Remember, you can't make EVERYONE happy, but if you make the choice to follow the Lord and do what He asks, you will make Him very happy, and that is what counts.
