God created us in His image, which means we are to act as Christ acts. So…How's that going for you? Not to good huh? What does it mean to be like Christ? If we were exactly like Christ, we would be perfect in every way possible, we would never sin, and we could probably walk on water, but that isn't going to happen…What we CAN do to be like Christ though, is do our best to not sin, spread the gospel of Jesus to non-believers, and love those who may not love you back.
Show the world you are in love with Jesus, don't be afraid, but at the same time, don't be surprised when persecution comes your way. Remember, Jesus was persecuted for what He had to say, and if we are to act just as Jesus acted then we can expect persecution. As Henry Blackaby puts it in this passage, "Persecution may be the best evidence that your life is like that of Christ."
Just remember, no matter what flack you take from non-believers, atheists, agnostics and haters, your God is still there, ready and willing to protect you and fight for you. Don't loose faith in Jesus; He has never lost faith in you.
