The Lord Hears

29 Oct 13 devotional from, Experiencing God

God understands that we struggle, we have burdens and "crosses to bear" as the old cliche goes. Fortunately for us, we are not alone! God places wonderful people in our lives to which we can confide. Don't try to be a superhero when it comes to your worries and problems, don't try to take them on by yourself… Seek fellowship! Talk to your friends, your confidant, your pastor, parents, neighbors, coworkers…Anyone who you feel comfortable talking to who will respond with reciprocity.

Community is key in Christianity; as I have stated before, Christianity is a team sport. Support the other players and be accepting of the support they give to you. Try to make a point of meeting with someone, maybe once a week, every two weeks…once a month?? Talk about Jesus, talk about where you are in your relationship with Him, where you struggle and what He has done for you. Meet over coffee, lunch, or whatever…Keep it chill, but remember why you are there.

God said, "for where two or more gather in my name, there I am with them."
